Blood Taking Services
Your GP is happy to discuss your blood tests with you and explain what they are for at the time of your appointment
If a Clinician has told you that you need to attend the hospital for an urgent blood test, please ensure that your forms are stamped and marked as urgent/same day.
This will allow you to attend the hospital without a booked appointment.

Housebound Patients
For housebound patients we are able to refer to the community phlebotomist. We are unable to give you a precise visit date at the time of referral, as the service provider will contact you directly to arrange an appointment. Please ensure that your contact details and address are correct and up-to-date on our system prior to any referral by the doctor. The GP or nurse will tell you if there are any special instructions that you need to follow before your test, such as fasting
